Why should you sell your gear with us?
Butcher Shop Skates will provide you with a safe and secure place for your used goods to be sold.
A professional photograph with a clear unbiased explanation of the condition of your goods will set buyers at ease and give them a better understanding of the condition of your products. Once any of your items have sold we will notify you immediately. If you have more than one item for sale you have the option of waiting for all of them to sell or collecting your funds after each sale. While we will accept most of your equipment, we cannot accept helmets, mouth guards or equipment with visible cracks.
What fees can I expect when selling my items with you?
If you are selling a pair of skates with Butcher Shop Skates you have the option of cleaning the skates yourself or paying a $5 service fee (which will be taken off the sale of your skates and does not need to be paid prior). If you choose to clean your skates yourself you will be provided with a checklist of things that need to be attended to.
Our consignment fees are very reasonable and are as follows;
-Items up to $200 in price our commission is 35%
-Items over $200 in price our commission is 30%
Who decides how much to sell my items for?
When you fill out your consignment form we ask you suggest a price for each of your items.Butcher Shop Skates will then do an evaluation of your items when they arrive. If we feel that the item are worth less than you had listed we will contact you with our suggested selling price.
How will I receive my money after the sale is complete?
You will have 30 days to claim your funds after you have been notified of the sale of your item.
Butcher Shop Skates will pay out in email money transfer (EMT), PayPal, or as a gift card to Butcher Shop Skates.
Will you take gear from outside of Canada?
Yes! We are open for business from any part of the world!
If you’re ready carefully read the below terms and fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We will then email you back within 3 business days with all the information needed to start the process. We will then provide you an address to send your equipment to or if you live in or will be visiting Winnipeg we can arrange a drop off/pick up location.
- Consignor will turn over the goods described below, which shall remain property of the Butcher Shop Skates until such time as they are sold
Butcher Shop Skates operates an online/retail store or other sales outlet and agrees to make his/her best effort to sell Consignor’s goods.
Butcher Shop Skates agrees to return to Consigner, at the Consigner’s cost, upon demand, any unsold merchandise. The goods must be returned in the same or similar condition, unless this is impossible due to shopper damage or theft.
Butcher Shop Skates, at their own discretion, may opt to return unsold goods to Consignor at any time, at the cost of Butcher Shop Skates.
Butcher Shop Skates agrees to sell the goods at the price requested by the Consignor barring an inspection by Butcher Shop Skates. Both Butcher Shop Skates and the Consignor will agree upon the price before the goods enter the retail market. Discounts and reductions to the Consignor’s goods will be discussed prior to being made public.
Butcher Shop Skates agrees that all proceeds due, minus the commission (commission structure listed below), will be available to Consignor after the sale of the Consignor’s goods by email money transfer (EMT), Pay Pal or gift card to Butcher Shop Skates
If Consignor fails to claim proceeds within 30 days from date of sale notification, then all proceeds will be forfeited to Butcher Shop Skates.
Butcher Shop Skates is not responsible if goods are lost, damaged, or stolen while in shipment.
This agreement can be terminated by either with Consignor or Butcher Shop Skates at any time.
The commission structure is listed as follows;
For items to be sold for less than $200 commission will be 35%
For items to be sold for $200 or more commission will be 30%
